Be h!p and host a party!

Want to help Humanity in Practice—h!p—raise money for children living in shelters? We have a new way for you to have fun with your friends while making a difference!

Party with Purpose

h!p has several ways to make your next social gathering a “Party with Purpose”, one that will help us with the work we do in community. Need ideas? Check out the suggestions below. We also would be happy to help brainstorm what would work for your group.

  • Ask friends to bring over an item when you get together…for Book Club, summer cocktails, a bbq. We need travel size toothpaste, dental floss, lip balm, lotion and personal hygiene items.
  • Have a garage sale and donate the money made to h!p.
  • Sell products at a market on our behalf.
  • Host an online campaign…like Spolumbo sausages for BBQ season.
  • Share your talents by hosting a class…yoga, knitting, painting…and charge a fee to donate to h!p.
  • Organizing a night out as a group with a built-in fee for h!p…paint night, cycling, bowling, top golf…
  • Ask friends to donate to h!p in lieu of a birthday or anniversary gift.

Let us bring the Party to you

Your group can make a difference by hosting a party to create Care Kits. You choose the theme, we supply the items. You make them, we pick them up from you and deliver them to those in need.

There is a cost of $10 per kit.

Party results made easy

After your “Party with Purpose”, submit the proceeds raised to h!p via our donations page. We are part of the Rogers Birdies for Kids Presented by AltaLink program so you will receive a tax receipt for your donation and Rogers will match your donation for us up to 50%. What a way to have fun and give back all in one happy get together!

We are also happy to come to your party to let your friends know how they are making a difference so easily!
